CPR, AED, & First Aid

This comprehensive training course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to recognize and respond to medical emergencies. Students will learn adult, child, and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and essential first aid techniques for treating common injuries and illnesses until professional medical personnel arrive.

The course combines classroom instruction, demonstrations, hands-on practice, realistic emergency scenarios, and written and practical evaluations.

A written exam and skill testing is necessary for completion and certification.

Additional Info

Upon completing this 4.5-hour course, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the signs of sudden cardiac arrest and know when to call 911
  • Perform high-quality chest compressions on adults, children, and infants
  • Provide effective rescue breaths using a CPR pocket mask
  • Operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely and confidently
  • Perform the Heimlich maneuver for choking emergencies in adults and children
  • Apply hands-only CPR when a mask is not available
