Refund Policy

NY FIRE INSTITUTE COURSES

Definitions.

Courses are the entire set of classes comprising the training course purchased. A class is one training or exam session out of the classes that comprise such training course. Some courses have multiple classes over a specified set of dates that comprise the entirety of the course, while other courses may be completed in a single class and day.

Missed Class.

If a student misses a class, they may take the correlating class offered in the immediately following session. You will be charged a $40.00 fee for any class missed and the fee must be paid on the day of the makeup class in cash. The fee must be paid to the instructor before the session begins.

Missed Exam.

If a student misses an exam they can take the exam the next time it is scheduled at no additional charge. If the student cannot attend the next session and needs to schedule an exam for another date (earlier or later), there will be a $75.00 fee payable in cash the day of said exam.

Cancellation of Course Registration.

Three (3) Days Prior to First Class.  If you cancel your course registration at least three (3) days prior to the first day of class by emailing us at info@nyfiresafe.com with your name and Registration Receipt Number, you will receive a 100% refund of the course registration fee paid within two to three weeks via a bank check.

Course or Class is Rescheduled or Cancelled.

NY Fire Safety Institute reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any course date(s) and class date(s) for any reason, including insufficient enrollment. In such instances, any related payments by you will be refunded to you or applied towards the next available class.

NY FIRE CONSULTANTS

Goods.

If you purchase goods from us, such as but not limited to logbooks, you may cancel your order if it has not yet shipped and the following Refund Policy will apply:

• 100% refund If your written order cancellation request is received by us within one (1) business day from the date the order was placed AND your order has not been picked up by the shipper.
• 90% refund If your written order cancellation request is received by us more than one (1) business day from the date the order was placed AND your order has not been picked up by the shipper. We will withhold 10% of the purchase price as a restocking fee.
• No refunds will be granted after an order has been shipped.

Consulting Services.

All consulting services will be governed by the terms of a separate executed agreement between you and NY Fire Consultants Inc.
