The F-01 Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment Certificate of Fitness applies to fire-watch duties when a required sprinkler, standpipe, fire alarm, or other fire-protection system is out of service. When the affected area does not exceed 50,000 square feet, an impairment coordinator or qualified designee may conduct the initial fire watch. After four hours, the patrol must be performed by an F-01 Certificate of Fitness holder.

This F-01 practice test reviews fire-guard orientation, hourly patrols, inspection records, FDNY notifications, emergency procedures, manual pull stations, fire-protection systems, and portable fire extinguishers. Use it with the current FDNY study material to evaluate your knowledge and identify subjects that require additional review before taking the exam.
