Christopher Hagen has spent 23 years and counting in the FDNY, attaining the rank of Captain. At NY Fire Consultants, he is an Instructor & Consultant. A specialist in training and education, he started his career working for the American Red Cross in disaster response and recovery. He has a B.S. in Health Education and Exercise Science, and an M.P.A. in Public Administration, as well as being certified as a FDNY Hazardous Materials Technician 1, Fire Service Instructor I, Fire Officer 2, in FDNY Special Operations Support Ladder, and as a NY State Certified First Responder. He is a member of the FDNY Emerald Society, FDNY Steuben Association, Ancient Order of Hibernians D17, and the Fire & Life Safety Directors Association of Greater NY. Outside of work he enjoys music, the beach, hockey, and time with family and friends. The proudest moment of his career was when his 8 year old son requested to attend a plaque dedication for a fallen brother.
