NY FIRE INSTITUTE COURSES
Definitions.
Courses are the entire set of classes comprising the training course purchased. A class is one training or exam session out of the classes that comprise such training course. Some courses have multiple classes over a specified set of dates that comprise the entirety of the course, while other courses may be completed in a single class and day.
Missed Class.
If a student misses a class, they may take the correlating class offered in the immediately following session. You will be charged a $40.00 fee for any class missed and the fee must be paid on the day of the makeup class in cash. The fee must be paid to the instructor before the session begins.
Students who do not complete all required course sessions and testing requirements within three (3) months of the final day of the original class session forfeit the opportunity to return and complete the course.
Students who wish to continue after the three-month period will be required to retake the entire course and pay the applicable registration and course fees.
NYFSI will offer the returning student a discounted registration fee.
Missed Exam.
If a student misses an exam they can take the exam the next time it is scheduled at no additional charge.
Students who do not use all testing opportunities within three (3) months of the final day of the original class session will forfeit testing opportunities.
NYFSI will offer the returning student a discounted registration fee.
Cancellation of Course Registration.
Three (3) Days Prior to First Class. If you cancel your course registration at least three (3) days prior to the first day of class by emailing us at info@nyfiresafe.com with your name and Registration Receipt Number, you will receive a 100% refund of the course registration fee paid within two to three weeks via a bank check.
Withdrawing Before Second class: If you withdraw before the start of the second class by emailing us at info@nyfiresafe.com with your name registration and receipt number you will be granted a 50% refund. If you withdraw after the start of the second class there will be no refund given.
Course or Class is Rescheduled or Cancelled.
NY Fire Safety Institute reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any course date(s) and class date(s) for any reason, including insufficient enrollment. In such instances, any related payments by you will be refunded to you or applied towards the next available class.

Goods.
If you purchase goods from us, such as but not limited to logbooks, you may cancel your order if it has not yet shipped and the following Refund Policy will apply:
Consulting Services.
All consulting services will be governed by the terms of a separate executed agreement between you and NY Fire Consultants Inc.
