Retired FDNY Deputy Chief Riley serves as a Fire & Life Safety Consultant on key assignments for NY Fire Consultants Inc., leveraging decades of experience and knowledge with the FDNY for our clients. He is also a certified instructor at the NY Fire Safety Institute (NYFSI).
Deputy Chief Riley retired from his last post as Chief in Charge of the Fort Totten FDNY Training Facility where he was responsible for day-to-day operations.

- Chief in Charge of Research and Development – developed and designed FDNY safety improvements
- Responsible for the design, creation and City wide implementation of an Electronic Fire ground Accountability System to track and monitor Handie-Talkie transmissions
- Executive Chief Officer to the Queens Borough Commander

- Coordinated and developed a plan to improve reconditioning of FDNY Handie-Talkie batteries
- Coordinated and developed improvements to the Safety gear for FDNY Air Recon Chiefs
- Developed a plan to Pilot and replace new Firefighting Gloves for over 11,000 FDNY members
- Assisted Miami Beach Florida in Assessment and implementation of Battalion Chief Exam
