Michael M. Dugan is an Advisor at NY Fire Consultants with 27 years of service in the FDNY. He served as Captain of Ladder 123 and specializes in fire behavior and human behavior during a fire. The proudest moment of his career was making a rescue of a trapped civilian. He attributes his path in fire safety to a strong desire to be the best and to learn from the best. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and is a member of the Emerald Society, the UFOA Retirees Association, the Honor Legion, and the Holy Name Society. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling. He advises future fire safety professionals to take any training or class offered, as no education is ever wasted.
