John Feehan is an Instructor and Fire & Life Safety Consultant at NY Fire Consultants. With 30 years in the FDNY, he currently holds the rank of Battalion Chief. He is an expert in healthcare fire safety and emergency management. He holds an AAS in Nursing, a BA in Fire Service Administration, and an MS in Protection and Emergency Management. He is also an adjunct lecturer at John Jay College, teaching courses in fire science, risk management, and fire protection. He is certified as a Hazardous Materials Technician and has completed counterterrorism and CERT training. He is a member of the Fire Safety Directors Association, the Fire Chiefs Association, NFPA, and UFOA.
