As a Fire & Life Safety Consultant with NY Fire Consultants Inc., retired FDNY Lt. O’Donnell conducts inspections, training, and fire drills at various office buildings, hotels, and residential buildings for our clients throughout New York City.
Since 2007, Lt. O’Donnell has served as a certified instructor at the NY Fire Safety Institute where he continues to teach the following classes:

Accomplishments
As an FDNY Lieutenant, O’Donnell initiated strategies and tactics at fires and emergencies; trained firefighters to maintain and upgrade operational skills; inspected buildings/properties to insure compliance with current NYC codes; kept informed of current topics and procedures; evaluated firefighter job performance; scheduled personnel; facilitated building inspections; monitored firefighters’ stress levels; and assured compliance with fire department administrative policies and procedures.
As a NYS Certified Instructor teaching at the NYC Fire Academy, O’Donnell introduced trainees to fire protection technology and basic elements of fire prevention; concepts governing fire fighting and emergency operations; principles of safety and communications; applications of equipment; tactics and procedures.
