John Cassidy, is an Instructor and Drill Conductor at NY Fire Consultants. After 20 years in the FDNY, he rose to the rank of Battalion Chief. His expertise is in training, general firematics, and fire safety. He obtained a BA from Fairfield University, and has obtained the certification Hazardous Materials Tech 1, attended West Point Counterterrorism Program, and is trained as a First Line Supervisor. He is a member of the Fire Chief’s Association, and the IAFF. As technologies advance, he finds it important for his students to be aware of new materials and hazards in the world and how they may impact fire operations and fire safety.
