Michael Accardi, a former Battalion Chief with 23 years in the FDNY, is now an Instructor at NY Fire Consultants. He is an expert in fire behavior and spread. He credits a former supervisor for inspiring him to study and advance early in his career. He is certified in HAZMAT and Safety Investigation and is a member of the Emerald Society, Holy Name Society, Columbia Association, and UFOA. Outside work, he enjoys skiing, going to the beach, and watching his daughters play sports.
