J. Brendan Corrigan is an Instructor at NY Fire Consultants and a Battalion Chief in the FDNY with 21 years of experience. His expertise lies in working with a wide range of building types throughout New York City. His proudest professional moment was being promoted to Battalion Chief, following in his father’s footsteps. He holds a BS in Finance from Siena College, completed coursework toward an MBA at Fordham University, and studied at West Point and Columbia University as part of his FDNY training. He has completed the Counterterrorism Leadership Program and attended the FDNY Mental Performance Institute. He is HAZMAT Tech 2 certified and an active member of numerous FDNY societies and units. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, beach club days, golfing, good food, and watching his daughter play sports. He believes that experience, paired with knowledge, is the key to success in fire safety.
